Microsoft wanted to drive relevancy and ongoing awareness of Microsoft products among WP7 consumers by developing an app that moves beyond a straight product push and focuses on specific usage needs and behavioral wants of the end user. I collaborated with the art director in the design and production of the mobile app using Microsoft’s Metro design principles.
With Microsoft’s pre-existing “currency” of Microsoft Points, a user would be given points for performing different tasks within the app. From something as simple as opening the app, to more time intensive tasks like watching product release videos and sharing content. It was also a way to stay up to date with the gear you had and be first to know about new offerings.
